At Orbe’s Heritage Farm, we believe good farming starts with healthy soil, healthy animals, and healthy families. We raise grass-fed and grass-finished American Milking Devon cattle — a rare heritage breed that thrives on forage alone, just as nature intended. For thousands of years, cattle were never meant to eat grain, and we’re proud to keep that tradition alive, doing our part to raise awareness and bring “old-fashioned” values back to the modern farm.

Our chickens give us fresh eggs and extra fertility for the garden — and like everything here, they’re part of our sustainable loop. Nothing goes to waste: our Big Barn keeps our cows off delicate soil in winter, transforms manure into nutrient-rich compost, and helps us grow healthy food for our family and community.

We believe a homestead should work like an ecosystem — from cattle to garden to soap making. That’s why we make our own nourishing grass-fed tallow soaps, share seasonal produce when we can, and create practical digital tools to help other homesteaders plan, grow, and manage their own systems more easily.

Supporting our farm means supporting local soil, local families, and a healthier planet. And we’re excited to keep growing — one day we hope to open our farm gates for workshops and classes so you can see how it all works, right here where the old ways and new ideas meet.
